  3. SSgt North,

Do you have a link or a recommended site that you suggest for a diet plan?

  4. I routinely consult Mark Sissons' website for advice...

But to be honest, I conjured up my own take on both the Paleo and Primal diet plans (use google to get a gist of each plan). In other words, I try to avoid grains (with the exception of cheat days) and eat plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables and animals.

Staples in my diet include yams, eggs, brussel sprouts, Greek yogurt, kale, carrots, cucumbers, hearts of romaine, chicken, beef, pork (bacon and otherwise), apples, avocados, asparagus, squash (all kinds), mixed berries, whole milk...you get the idea. I don't count calories and I don't use exact measurements - when I'm hungry, I throw down some food.

If you're concerned or have questions regarding your meal plan, let me know. My advice: listen to your body. If you're going to incorporate a change in your diet, practice it long enough to see whether or not said change is helping.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Podobnik,

When i switched to the paleo diet i just went straight to it. I didnt minimize my grain and carb intake until i got used to it like some recommend. You will be suprised to see that by just eating those foods he named off (say a meat, veggie, and fruit each meal and nuts and fruits as snacks) that the nutrient intake will take care of itself. To sit there and count how many calories, fat, carbs, and protien you take in every meal is too time consuming. If you do supplements, one thing you might want to try is MuscleMeds beef protien isolate. I know that the paleo diet calls for dairy on moderation so thats what I do and I am lactose intolerant anyways. Just felt another opinion might help.
